Clover is an incredibly talented guinea pig – she can paint! Once or twice a day, she picks up her paintbrush and makes colorful designs on a piece of paper.
Clover’s first painting!
Her painting journey began when I noticed that she wanted a challenge. She is very intelligent, but is too old to do tricks that require agility. Clover is 7! That’s when I decided to introduce her to painting. She loved it! She quickly realized that the paintbrush needed to touch the paper, and she’s been painting ever since.
It is important to note that painting is entirely Clover’s choice! If she decides she doesn’t feel like painting, then there is no painting session that day. The guinea pigs are loved family members – they aren’t forced to do anything they don’t want to do.
However, Clover makes her love of painting very obvious! When it’s time to work on a piece, Clover impatiently waits at the front of the guinea pig area until I come and get her out.
